A spike represents a quick rise in glucose followed by a decline. The total rise and the rate of the rise determines a spike.
Lingo uses our proprietary algorithm to detect which spikes matter by identifying meaningful increases in glucose – like picking out significant waves within the changing tides – and then assigning each spike a Lingo Count.
We are always working to improve how we detect spikes and calculate your Lingo Count, but we don’t always get it right. If you feel like the spike is incorrect you can remove the Lingo Count value from your graph and from your daily total.
Here’s how:
- On the Lingo Graph, tap the + button below the spike you wish to remove.
- Select “Remove Lingo Counts” from the menu and follow prompts.
OR
- Tap the pencil next to any event in your Journal.
- Select “Remove Lingo Counts” from the menu and follow prompts.
Keep in mind that you can add back Lingo Count right away if you’ve removed them by mistake. If you are no longer able to edit Lingo Count for an event, it has passed a window where it has been locked and used in calculating your target and cannot be changed.
