For individuals without diabetes, expert consensus states ‘normal’ or typical glucose levels are:
Fasting: 3.9 – 5.6 mmol/L
After a meal: up to 7.8 mmol/L
Studies in healthy individuals using CGM reported glucose levels on average of approximately 100 mg/dl, and following meals reported a median value of ~140 mg/dl with levels up to 180 mg/dl.
