If you notice a spike but you thought your glucose was fairly steady, this could be because the rate of change in glucose was more significant than you realized. You may also be notified of a spike if your glucose moves above your typical baseline and stays there for a longer period of time. The Lingo algorithm is sensitive to changes in glucose, and even small but fast spikes can get assigned a Lingo Count value. It can be helpful to change to the 12-hour view on your Lingo Stream, as spikes can appear sharper and more obvious. While we are always working to improve how we detect spikes, we don’t always get it right, so it is possible the spike was detected incorrectly. You can always remove Lingo Counts arising from spikes that you disagree with.
