A spike represents a quick rise in glucose followed by a decline. The total rise and the rate of the rise determines a spike. Lingo uses our proprietary algorithm to identify spikes and assign them a Lingo Count. Lingo cuts through the noise and calculates your total glucose exposure, the rate of change in your glucose, and the overall rise in glucose from your baseline. We are always working to improve how we detect spikes and calculate Lingo Counts but we don’t always get it right. You can always remove Lingo Counts arising from spikes that you disagree with.
